Therapist, counselor specializing in children

THERAPIST

Michele Dennis, MS, LMHC

As a dedicated mental health therapist with decades of experience, I help adults navigate and heal from the emotional weight of depression, anxiety, trauma, and grief. My approach blends compassion, insight, and evidence-based strategies to create a safe, empowering space where clients can transform pain into personal growth. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or ready for real change, I walk beside you as a guide toward emotional freedom, self-worth, and inner peace.

I also specialize in working with children who struggle with anxiety, anger, and emotional regulation—particularly those experiencing the impact of divorce or major life transitions. Through child-centered techniques and family support, I help young clients feel heard, seen, and more in control of their emotions. My passion lies in witnessing healing unfold—whether in the resilience of a child or the breakthrough of an adult ready to reclaim their joy. “Therapy isn’t just about coping—it’s about becoming whole.”

Nacoal Friend, MS, RMHCI, RMFTI

As a marriage and family therapy registered intern as well as mental health counselor intern, I am passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families build stronger, more connected relationships.  I provide support to clients facing a range of issues including communication struggles, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and emotional awareness. My approach includes narrative therapy, person-centered approaches, and cognitive behavioral therapy to support my clients in a way that’s compassionate, non-judgmental, and tailored to their unique needs. My goal is to offer a warm, safe space where clients can explore their thoughts and emotions, gain tools and insight, and develop a stronger sense of self.

My desire to do this work began early on, after seeing how challenging it can be for people to navigate conflict and communication—especially when emotions run deep. That experience sparked a commitment to help others learn how to communicate more clearly and connect more meaningfully.  I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals, couples, families, teens, and children, and I love meeting people where they are in their journey. Whether you're looking to improve a relationship or work through personal challenges, I’m here to walk beside you.
